The development comes in the wake of city police arresting actress Ragini Dwivedi for supplying drugs to people at high-end parties in the city. Galrani was arrested at the end of a CCB raid at her Indira Nagar residence here early this morning, they said. “After obtaining a search warrant from the court, the searches were conducted at Sanjjanaa’s house,” the Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil said. According to CCB, Galrani was under its radar ever since her friend Rahul, a realtor, was booked in connection with the drug case, they added. Sanjjanaa was born in Bengaluru. Bollywood Drug Probe: Dharma Productions’ Kshitij Ravi Prasad Summoned by NCB, Likely to Join Investigation Tomorrow

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested another person in the drug probe into Bollywood. A person named Kshitij Ravi Prasad has been arrested by the NCB, after almost 24 hours of questioning, as per reports. He has been taken for a medical examination by the officials, as per formalities, before the arrest, reports ANI. Kshitij’s name has made headlines because of his alleged association with Dharma Productions as an executive producer. However, the company’s head honcho, Karan Johar, clarified, last night, that Kshitij was only associated with Dharma’s sister company briefly on contractual basis for a project that did not materialise. Karan Johar Issues Statement Slamming Rumours of Drug Abuse, Clarifies Kshitij Prasad and Anubhav Chopra Are Not Associated With Dharma.

The NCB has arrested over 20 people in the drug probe apart from Kshitij. Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty will remain in judicial custody till October 6.  Sushant’s househelp, staff manager and about 16 drug peddlers have been nabbed by the NCB.

RIP SP Balasubrahmanyam: Late Legendary Singer Laid to Rest With Police Honours (View Pics)

The mortal remains of famous playback singer and Padma awardee S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, popular as SPB or Balu in the movie world, was laid to rest with police honours at his farmhouse near here on Saturday. At about 12.30 p.m. SPB’s body was lowered into a dug up pit bringing to end a great musical era. The legendary singer who has recorded over 40,000 songs in 16 languages over a period of five decades, died on Friday afternoon due to cardio-respiratory arrest at the M.G.H. Healthcare.

Earlier in the day, hundreds of people stood in a long queue to pay homage to the singer as well as celebrities from the movie world at the farm house.

The singer’s family performed the last rites. The mortal remains were brought to the farmhouse on Friday evening. On Friday, a large number of people gathered at his residence here to have a last glimpse of the singer and pay their respects.

Later in the evening, his body was taken in a van to his farmhouse at Thamaraipakkam. Enroute several people stood on the pavement and bade SPB a tearful goodbye.

On August 5, in a Facebook post, the 74-year-old SPB said that he was suffering from a very mild attack of coronavirus and had got himself hospitalised to take a rest.

He had said that though the doctors had advised him to stay at home and take a rest, he decided to be in a hospital, as at home his family members would get concerned. SPB hoped to get discharged from the hospital in two days. But it was not to be.
