Saif Ali Khan's Role Inspired From Rahul Gandhi and Zeeshan Ayyub To Play Kanhaiya Kumar in 'Tandav'?

We are eagerly waiting for Saif Ali Khan’s highly charged political drama Tandav. The much-awaited web series is high on thrills, manipulations and maneuvering. From the chest-thumping bravado of political parties to excessive nationalism and from the lethargy of governance to the dirtiness of beurocracy, Tandav promises to showcase everything that entails an interesting watch. Add to that the current topic that has galvanized the entire nation and Tandav becomes ragingly political.

Yes, the drama also focuses on the farmer protests and the right to dissent. And now we hear that even if Saif Ali Khan’s character seems to be right-winged with his political ambition, his persona is modeled on Rahul Gandhi. With Dimple Kapadia playing the powerful political supremo and Saif’s mother in this one, it is apparent that her character seems to have been modelled on none other than Sonia Gandhi. Tandav Song Dhakka Laga Bukka: AR Rahman’s Song From The Film Yuva Now Becomes A Youth Anthem For Saif Ali Khan’s Web Series! With that being said, Zeeshan Ayyub is playing an angry youth who unleashes his fiery word prowess on the college campus, no wonder one can see undeniable shades of Kanhaiya Kumar in him. The trailer also shows how his character is employed as a pawn to fuel his ambition for him to come to the forefront, but that move also drives an agenda of sorts against the ruling party in this narrative.Saif Ali Khan: The Shades of Cinema Are Changing and It Is the Right Time to Be an Actor

Talking about his character in Tandav Zeeshan said in an interview that he revisited his real-life college days while shooting for the film. “I re-lived my college days with Tandav. We shot a lot of college sequences in the same college and hostel where I studied (Delhi University North Campus). College days are the building blocks of your life you can’t easily forget. You spend lots of time on the college campus with friends, free of all worries and problems, just having fun and not realizing how many memories you’re making in the process. And that’s what Tandav did for me.”

The nine-part political drama also stars Dimple Kapa,  Kumud Mishra, Sarah Jane Dias, Dino Morea, Anup Soni, Kritika Kamra, Sandhya Mridul and Amyra Dastur. Tandav will start streaming from January 15

Laxmmi Bomb Actor Sharad Kelkar To Turn Narrator for Disney+ Hotstar Animated Series, the Legend of Hanuman

Actor Sharad Kelkar has taken up the role of a narrator for the upcoming animated series, The Legend Of Hanuman. “Most of us have grown up either listening to tales of Lord Hanuman or watching it on television. Interestingly, we know little about his formative years. The Legend Of Hanuman is a visually rich tale of the god who forgot who he was, and believed he was just a ‘vaanara‘,” Sharad said. Sharad Kelkar in Laxmii, Nora Fatehi in Street Dancer, Harshvardhan Kapoor in AK vs AK and More – 20 ‘Scene-Stealers’ of Hindi Cinema in 2020!

“As a sootradhar, it’s my privilege to lend my voice in a way that ties that story together; it’s been a truly unique experience. I think this story will inspire people to believe that true measure of a being is not defined by power, but from faith, courage and compassion,” he added.

The series will bring forward the life and journey of Lord Hanuman, and chronicle the war between the forces of good and evil.

The mythological animation series has been directed by Jeevan J. Kang and Navin John, with lead writers Sharad Devarajan, Sarwat Chaddha, Ashwin Pande and Arshad Syed.

The 13-episode series will release on Disney+ Hotstar VIP on January 29 in seven languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam and Kannada.

“For the first time, the grandeur of the epic world of Hanuman and the mythical beings of Gods, demons, forest creatures, spirits and anthropomorphic clans, will be visualised through high quality animation, creating an animated event that we hope will transcend ages and speak to all generations who have held this hero in our hearts,” said Sharad Devarajan, co-founder at Graphic India, producers of the show.

Akshay Oberoi: This Profession Can Knock You Down Multiple Times

Akshay Oberoi: This Profession Can Knock You Down Multiple Times

Akshay Oberoi has been a part of Bollywood for almost a decade now. He agrees that the acting profession is difficult and can knock down people multiple times. In his decade long journey in Hindi cinema, Akshay has starred in films such as “Pizza”, “Gurgaon” and “Kaalakaandi“. He has also made a name for himself in the digital space, with web projects like “The Test Case”, “Hum Tum And Them” and “Flesh”. Akshay Oberoi: Thought Versatility Is Something That I Should Focus On

Talking about the industry being a brutal place, as it defines an actor on the basis of hits and misses, Akshay told IANS: “It is brutal but that is the industry world over. It’s not just Bollywood. In any cinematic industry, this is the way it works. It is an art made for commerce. So, if your part is not done well you don’t have any takers.” Jaane Tu… Yaa Jaane Na Actor and Aamir Khan’s Nephew Imran Khan Has Quit Acting, Confirms His Friend Akshay Oberoi

“It is tough to get the next gig and that has been going since the beginning of time, beginning of star structure, beginning of cinema itself. I think it will be unreasonable to expect that it would be very easy for somebody to come from outside and break into a very tightly-knit industry,” he added.

Akshay said that he knew it would not a “cakewalk” for him, when he entered the world of films. “With me, I may have thought I would make it faster than I did but I didn’t come in thinking it would be a cakewalk. This profession can knock you down multiple times. The rejection and failure ratio is skewed. You have to learn at a young age to face that rejection and if you can’t do it then you better do something else, because this is a difficult job,” he summed up.
