AFC Preview:Buffalo Bills (13-3) vs Kansas City Chiefs ( 14-2)

The Bills have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium at 6:40 p.m. ET, they and the Kansas City Chiefs will grapple for the AFC championship and a ticket to the Super Bowl. The Bills will be seeking to avenge the 26-17 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Oct. 19 of last year.

Bills earned some more postseason success in their contest last week. They were able to grind out a solid victory over the Baltimore Ravens, winning 17-3. The score was all tied up at the 3-3, but Buffalo was the better team in the second half. Their WR Stefon Diggs filled up the stat sheet, catching eight passes for one TD and 106 yards.

In the meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns typically have all the answers at home, but last week Kansas City proved too difficult a challenge. Kansas City managed a 22-17 win over Cleveland. The team accrued 19 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win. It was another big night for the Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes, who passed for one TD and 255 yards on 30 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. Mahomes ended up with a passer rating of 152.40.

Even if you have subscribed to the relevant NFL rights holders, you won’t be able to access them when outside your own country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) helps you get around this obstacle. VPNs are a doddle to use and create a private connection between your device and the internet. All the information passing back and forth is entirely encrypted.

We recommend paid-for VPN services, such as ExpressVPN or NordVPN, because they are entirely safe, come with 24/7 customer support and can be used to watch sport and other entertainment from any part of the world on almost any device. Try it out with the link below and get three months free.

Sling TV’s combined Orange and Blue package ($45 per month) provides access to NBC, Fox, ESPN and NFL Network. You don’t get CBS or RedZone or NFL Network though. On the upside, SlingTV packages are discounted for the first month.

NFL blackouts: International Game Pass vs. U.S. Game Pass

What’s the difference between watching NFL Game Pass in Germany, Australia, Canada, or the U.S.? NFL Game Pass is available both inside and outside the States. However, there are key differences every fan needs to know:

The U.S. NFL Game Pass does not offer live streaming of regular-season or postseason games. It provides streams of out-of-market preseason games, on-demand replays of every regular-season game, and the NFL Films archive. There are no blackouts of regular-season games (because none are shown live at all). A seven-day free trial is available.

In most other markets, such as Mexico and most EU countries, the international NFL Game Pass offers all 256 regular-season games plus the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl. Users trying to watch the NFL in the UK or Ireland are subject to blackouts on some games, and for viewers who want to stream the NFL in Canada, Game Pass is available exclusively through DAZN.

Most international Game Pass subscribers get access to NFL RedZone, the NFL Network, and all NFL Films programming. There’s a seven-day free trial available.

Is NFL Game Pass UK the same as the international Game Pass?

In a word, no. Regional broadcasting rights in the UK and the Republic of Ireland mean certain games are subject to blackout restrictions.

This applies even if a subscriber from the UK or Ireland is in another part of the EU. Existing EU Portability Regulations require UK and Ireland blackout restrictions to apply no matter where in the EU the subscriber is.

Can I watch NFL Game Pass in Europe?

EU viewers who subscribe to NFL Game Pass from most locations other than the UK or Ireland should have access to all games live, although limited blackouts may apply if such users try to watch from the UK or Ireland.
Where is the cheapest location to get NFL international Game Pass?

NFL international Game Pass prices vary from region to region, but South American locations tend to offer the lowest prices. For information about specific countries, contact ExpressVPN Support.

Subscription refunds are valid up to seven days from the purchase date. Free trial refunds are valid up to three days after the trial ends. More details can be found on the NFL Digital Care site.
Which devices can I watch International NFL Game Pass on?

NFL Game Pass works on the following devices. To set up ExpressVPN on your device, follow the corresponding link below:

iOS 10+
Android 6.0+
Apple TV
Amazon Fire TV
Android TV
Roku
Xbox
PS4

What’s the difference between NFL Game Pass and NFL Sunday Ticket?

NFL Game Pass is the NFL’s streaming service. It is different from NFL Sunday Ticket, which is to AT&T TV Now.

NFL Game Pass comes in two flavors. The domestic Game Pass only shows out-of-market preseason games, regular-season game replays, and the full range of NFL Films. The international Game Pass shows every live regular season and playoff game, including the Super Bowl. Read more about the nuances of NFL Game Pass.

NFL Sunday Ticket is only available to U.S. with a valid service address. Sunday Ticket shows out-of-market games only and excludes select international games. In particular, games broadcast by your local Fox or CBS affiliate will not be available for streaming.

NFL Sunday Ticket starts at 73.50 USD/month for four months. If you live in the U.S. and don’t mind missing a portion of the games, NFL Sunday Ticket might be worth considering. The international version of NFL Game Pass costs at least 125 USD/season but gives you access to every game and a wide range of extras.

NFC Championship

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Green Bay Packers [Jan 24, 3:00 p.m. ET]

Watch Live Stream Online

Channel: Fox

The Buccaneers are the only underdog to make it to the NFL’s final four, but it’s hard to consider them much of a longshot when they’re loaded with talent and led by legendary quarterback Tom Brady. In their upset win over the New Orleans Saints they proved they could win with their defense, but that will be harder to do against probable MVP Aaron Rodgers and a Packers team that scored a league-best 509 points during the regular season.

This is the first ever playoff matchup between Brady and Rodgers as both plied their trade in separate conferences for their cumulative 37 NFL seasons until this season. Some might think this duel is too little, too late considering the two Hall of Fame locks have a combined age of 80, but both are at the top of their respective games. Rodgers led the league in touchdown passes (48) and passer rating (121.5) this season, while Brady’s passing yards (4,633) and touchdown (40) totals were in the top three. As far as quarterback matchups go, it doesn’t get much better.

During the regular season, the Buccaneers dismantled the Packers to the tune of a 38-10 blowout, by far the worst loss Green Bay suffered all season. History could repeat itself, but it’s tough to bet against the Packers offense and the Bucs just proved that regular season results aren’t the be-all and end-all by sending home a Saints team that beat them in two prior meetings this season.
AFC Championship

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs [Jan 24, 6:30 p.m. ET]

Channel: CBS

Watch Live Stream Online

Expect constant updates on Patrick Mahomes and his recovery from a concussion he suffered against the Cleveland Browns. The health of the Chiefs’ franchise player will be crucial to how this game plays out. If he’s unavailable, it will be borderline-impossible for backup Henne to lead the defending champs past a Bills team that’s just one game since a two-game skid in mid-October.

Assuming Mahomes is good to go, we could be looking at a classic. Both teams run intricate modern offenses that emphasize early down passing and are driven by extremely talented mobile quarterbacks with improvisational flair. Each defense will be stretched to its limit. It’s not hard to imagine a Mahomes–Josh Allen duel coming down to the final possession, with the last team to possess the ball in the driver’s seat.

When these teams met on October 19, the Chiefs won 26-17 behind an efficient performance from a massive 162-yard rushing day from Clyde Edwards-Helaire and an outstanding defensive effort that led to Allen passing for just 122 yards. That’s a recipe for success that Kansas City will be unlikely to replicate considering Edwards-Helaire is hobbled and Allen is too good to be bottled up that thoroughly twice. That means the Chiefs will have to go with their usual strategy of lighting up the scoreboard with an explosive passing attack — as long as Mahomes is OK.
Who’s going to win Super Bowl LV

With the Mahomes health caveat, the Chiefs should remain favorites to retain their title. Andy Reid’s offense is well-crafted and the club’s skill position players have incredible speed, making them a nightmare to defend. On defense they create turnovers and get after the quarterback at a respectable clip, making life difficult for opposing passing attacks. They are far from , but they are well-coached, talented, and consistent.

The Bills might be the second-best team in the field thanks to the rapid improvement Allen has displayed as a -threat quarterback and red-zone virtuoso. Buffalo is probably a little more talented than Kansas City on the defensive side of the ball—particularly in the secondary—but the club also relies on putting up massive point totals and defending leads. That’s been a winning formula for them. If it weren’t for a miraculous Kyler Murray Hail Mary, they’d be riding a 12-game winning streak into this game.

While the NFC isn’t as strong as the AFC, the Packers are no joke. No team has gotten better quarterback play this season, and they run the ball effectively enough that their play action passes are extremely effective. The Packers are adept at playing bully ball against less physical defenses, too. Green Bay’s defense isn’t anything to write home about, but the same can be said about the Bills and Chiefs as well. This is an offense-first remaining field, and the Packers can score with the best of them.

Rounding out the final four as the biggest underdog are the Buccaneers. Although Tampa Bay was inconsistent during the season, they’ve won five straight games (including two playoff victories) and put up at least 30 points each time out. Their defense is the strongest of the remaining four teams, which could tip the scales at a critical moment, and Brady’s playoff record speaks for itself. This team is on a quest to be the first to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium and it wouldn’t be a shock to see that happen.

And, when he knocked out Benavidez in the second round, the second flurry of controversy followed after it appeared an accidental headbutt stunned Benavidez to set up the finish. He removed all questions in the rematch, however, hurting Benavidez on the feet before submitting him on the ground in the first round. With that, Figueiredo became champion and the division had a path forward. But it once again felt as if UFC was skeptical of its champion’s ability to sell with the promotion scheduling Figueiredo’s first defense against former bantamweight titleholder Cody Garbrandt. That fight was booked despite Garbrandt never having fought at 125 pounds and only having a single victory since the beginning of 2017. “We want him to prove he can make 125 pounds and fight someone in my weight class,” Figueiredo told MMAFighting.com before the fight had been scheduled. “After that, if he wins, he can come to fight me. But we don’t agree with him coming down and skipping the line and going straight for the belt against me.

He needs to prove he can make 125 and fight someone. It would be unfair if the UFC puts him straight for the belt. I think the UFC has to respect the others that worked hard for a title shot.” With Garbrandt forced out of the bout due to injury, Perez got the call to step up. While the Garbrandt fight was a bigger fight in terms of profile, Perez is the more established talent at flyweight. Now comes the hard work for Figueiredo. In a division that has struggled with visibility, will he be able to establish himself as a dynamic finisher fan who is willing to tune in to see? And will the UFC throw the full weight of their promotion behind the division and the champion? It begins with the Perez fight.

Even if you have subscribed to the relevant rights holders, you won’t be able to access these streaming services when outside your own country. All the information passing back and forth is entirely encrypted.

There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service such as ExpressVPN or NordVPN. ExpressVPN three months free with a year-long plan

Simply winning may not be enough to start building Figueiredo up as a star. He may need to become a blend of personality, excitement, and longevity to capture the imagination of the fans — and his promoters. Of course, that didn’t work out for Johnson. But Figueiredo seems to know the division is he to guide moving forward. “I’m the lead singer of the flyweight division,” Figueiredo said during a UFC 259: Jan Blachowicz vs. Israel Adesanya virtual media day interview. “I come to bring excitement to the weight class and I’m going to put on a show on Saturday, that’s for sure. Once again, I’ll prove why our weight class deserves praise.”

Shevchenko vs Jennifer Maia Live Stream The UFC center is dead or at least that’s what you’d think if you listen to talking heads or take the occasional cruise through Twitter. That’s one reason why, in the upcoming 2020 UFC, there is a noticeable emphasis on wings and guards from most talent evaluators. In our CBS Sports prospect rankings, for example, only three of the top 20 prospects are centers. This is in direct contrast to just nine years ago, when four of the top seven draft picks were centers Enes Kanter, Tristan Thompson, Jonas Valanciunas, and Bismack Biyombo — and they were all taken ahead of future All-UFC perimeter players Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson, and Kawhi Leonard.
Australia (Sydney)

The main event will be available on Battle Pass and other providers, PPV, and will start at 10 p.m. Prelims will be available on TSN5 and will start at 8 p.m. ET. Early prelims will be available at Battle Pass, starting at 6.30 ET.
Final Word

Fans are speculating on more than just the winner as the day of the war comes to a close. First of all, the place is still undecided, but this is not a major factor. There is a slim chance that Khabib will not be able to make it a war with travel restrictions in place and would have to be postponed to a later event. It all depends on whether he’s going to make it to the US in time for classes.

With that said, both warriors are awesome, and they bring their strategies with them. For Derrick, he’s going to have to show up fighting ready to take on Khabib ‘s notorious wrestling skills to avoid being knocked down. As for Khabib, it could lead to his failure to underestimate Derrick’s skills, so he should be on the lookout.

All in all, on October 24th, we’ve got a perfect match-up coming up for us, and it’s going to be exciting to watch the two fighting beasts clash in the UFC Lightweight Championship unification.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be hosting a special pre-battle media day for Khabib Nurmagomedov and Derrick Gaethje, who will compete in the Flash Forum on “Battle Island” in Abu Dhabi for “The Eagle’s” lightweight strap above the Khabib vs. Gaethje pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, scheduled for Sat., Oct. 24, 2020. The media day begins at 1 p.m. Today (October 1). ET in the video above.

As recently as 2015, six of the top 11 picks were centers. You could argue that what really killed the center, at least when it comes to the UFC, was the Phoenix Suns’ choice to select Deandre Ayton ahead of Luka Doncic just two years ago. Ayton has put up great numbers so far in his career — 17 points and 10.7 rebounds on 57 percent shooting — but watching Doncic blossom into an MVP candidate in just his second year only cemented the preference of wings and ball-handlers over big men. In last summer’s draft, only two centers (Jaxson Hayes and Goga Bitadze) were drafted in the entire first round.

If you’re shopping for a larger streaming package that includes ESPN, however, then you’ve got a few other options — just remember that without ESPN+, you’ll miss out on pay-per-view UFC live streams. All of these services work with the vast majority of modern streaming platforms, but always be sure to check and make sure that the one you want is compatible with your devices before signing up.

FuboTV

FuboTV is a relative newcomer that is quickly shaping up to be the number one streaming platform for sports fans (including those who want to live stream UFC fights). It offers two standard plans that both include ESPN: The Family plan, which offers 114 channels and rings in at $65 per month, and the $80-per-month Elite plan which features 159 channels along with some other extras.

Hulu

Hulu might have the biggest name recognition when it comes to streaming TV shows and channels, so its place on this list should come as no surprise. Its $65/month Live TV plan includes ESPN and you can add premium channels like HBO, Showtime, Starz, and more to your plan a la carte. If you want ESPN+, then another great option is The Disney Bundle which gets you basic ad-supported Hulu (note that this is different than the full Hulu Live package), Disney+, and ESPN+ for just $13 per month.

Sling TV

Sling TV stands as a cost-effective alternative for streamers who don’t want to pay for a bunch of channels they’re never going to watch. Sling has two smaller plans – Orange and Blue — which you can get for $35 per month each. Only the Orange package has ESPN channels for things like UFC live streams, though, but you can combine the two into the Orange + Blue plan for only $50 per month. As with Hulu, premium channels are available at extra cost.

YouTube TV

YouTube TV, as you probably gleaned from the name, is YouTube’s foray into the world of premium streaming services. It costs $65 per month — the same as Hulu or Fubo — and includes ESPN, letting you live stream UFC content (aside from pay-per-views, which still require ESPN+). You get more than 85 channels out of the gate with premium add-ons available.

259 Preview

The main event is particularly exciting. The middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will challenge the light heavyweight titleholder Jan Blachowicz by moving up a weightclass to become the fifth-ever fighter to hold two UFC belts simultaneously. If “The Last Stylebender” comes out victorious in this classic display of striking versus grappling, he will join the elite group of fighters who hold the record of being a ‘Champ-Champ’. First achieved by Conor McGregor, the feat has also been achieved by Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Henry Cejudo.

Israel Adesanya weighed in at 200.5 pounds at the UFC 259 weigh-ins, staying true to his word that he would not be cutting weight. Jan Blachowicz weighed-in at 205 pounds.

ESPN+ is the go-to place for UFC live streaming, and as the exclusive outlet for pay-per-view events like UFC 259, it’s a must-have for anybody who can’t get enough mixed martial arts action. Because ESPN holds exclusive broadcasting rights to UFC PPV fights, however, you won’t find UFC 259: Blachowicz vs. Adesanya, UFC 260: Miocic vs. Ngannou, and other such events on regular TV channels — or even on TV streaming platforms like Hulu or Fubo.

The UFC 259 fight card is a pretty hot one with 15 fights in total and three high-stakes championship title contests slated for the main card. The main event will see light heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz defend his belt against undefeated middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who is moving up in weight class for this fight to challenge for a second title. If Adesanya clinches the victory here, he’ll be one of only a handful of combatants to hold belts in two divisions.

One of those two-division champions, Amanda Nunes, is also fighting at UFC 259. She’ll be defending her women’s featherweight belt against Megan Anderson as the co-main event. The third and final title bout on the main card has reigning champ Petr Yan going up against rising star Aljamain Sterling. This will be the first title defense for both Blachowicz and Yan, who won their titles in 2020. Nunes — widely considered to be the best female mixed martial artist in MMA history — has successfully defended her belts six times so far.
