Competition in the mobile market is increasing. The pressure is getting more intense in the mid-range, even more so than among premium phones. Getting a really powerful mobile but adjusting the price to a minimum is the goal and brands such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme or POCO are the strongest in this price range.
In the first quarter of the year we knew the new OnePlus Nord , a mobile that attracted all eyes and has received very good reviews. It seems that he is the rival to beat and that is what POCO marketing director Angus Kai Ho Ng has suggested .
From his Twitter account he has asked his followers if they prefer the new OnePlus Nord or if they could wait to see the next POCO model. This simple question reveals that the Chinese brand is preparing a new phone that could be presented shortly and that it would be focused on competing directly with strong mid-range mobiles such as the OnePlus.
There isn’t much more information on this new POCO smartphone. The brand is dedicating itself to leaving messages of this type on different social networks announcing that its arrival will be soon, but they do not indicate the name or the characteristics it will have. We assume that as the date approaches, they will give some more clues.
To compete with mobiles like the OnePlus Nord, Poco would have to bet on a mid-range mobile close to the most premium, with a powerful team . Although the company began its journey with simpler and cheaper mobiles such as the Pocophone F1 , over time it has been approaching somewhat more premium models such as the F2 Pro, which this year surprised with its qualities.
The F2 Pro currently sells for € 438 , while the OnePlus Nord is offered on Amazon for € 615 . We will have to wait to compare that new POCO phone that the brand wants to face with the new OnePlus Nord.
