Now, England will host Ireland for a three-match One-Day Internationals (ODIs). This will be the first ODI series after the COVID-19 lockdown. The three ODIs will be played behind the closed doors in a bio-secure bubble just like the England-West Indies Test series. World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan will continue to lead the England ODI side while all-rounder Moeen Ali will be his deputy. Members of England Test squad against West Indies will not take part in the ODIs against Ireland. The visitors have named 21 players for the series, out of which 14 will be part of the main squad while seven will be reserves. India captain Virat Kohli has scored another century not on the pitch this time but on social media as he became the world’s first cricketer with 100 million followers on the social media platform Instagram.



The 32-year-old Kohli is also the first person from the Asia-Pacific region to achieve this feat.




The ICC tweeted, “Virat Kohli – became the first star cricketer to reach 100 million followers on Instagram.” Kohli is the fourth most followed player on Instagram.






Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo is ahead of Argentina football captain and FC Barcelona legend Lionel Messi and Neymar of Brazil with 265 million followers, who are second and third with 186 million and 147 million followers respectively.

Other Hollywood actors and former pro wrestlers in the 100 Million Club are Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson, American singer-songwriter Beyoncé and Ariana Grande. Kohli, who is counted among the best batsmen in the world, has 27 centuries in Test matches and 43 tons in ODI cricket.

Kohli is the most followed person on Instagram in India.

India’s men’s cricket team’s head coach Ravi Shastri received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. The first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is received.
