After Voicing The Simpsons’ Dr Hibbert For 3 Decades, Harry Shearer Steps Down, Kevin Michael Richardson to Replace Him

After more than 30 years of playing Dr Julius Hibbert on , , who portrayed the Black character since 1990, will be replaced by voice actor . According to Variety, for the Sunday episode of ‘The Simpsons’, titled ‘DiaryQueen’, Shearer voiced for the final time. Next week’s episode titled ‘Wad Goals’ will feature Richardson taking over the role. The Simpsons Will No Longer Have White Actors Voice Non-White Characters On the Show.

Since the show’s debut in 1989, Shearer has voiced Mr Burns, Ned Flanders, Mr Smithers, Principal Skinner, and more on the show. Richardson, himself also has worked on ‘The Simpsons’ since 2009, providing the voices for many characters. He has also worked on animated shows like ‘Family Guy’, ‘The Cleveland Show’, ‘American Dad’ and many others. As per Variety, this recasting comes after the show’s producers back in June 2020 said that white actors will no longer play non-white characters. Disney Plus Hotstar Premium to Launch All 31 Seasons of The Simpsons.

Before this, Hank Azaria voiced the Indian character Apu Nahasapeemapetilon for years, drawing backlash among fans and the South Asian community. Azaria stepped down from the role in January 2020, and he was also replaced by Black voice actor Alex Desert as Carl Carlson in a fall 2020 episode.

Aamir Khan Shelves His Dream Mythological Project Mahabharat – Reports

It’s been many years since we are hearing that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan wants to churn out a mythological tale based on the epic Mahabharat. After a hiatus, we also heard that the perfectionist star has dropped the plan of making the magnum opus for the big screen, but instead will be going the digital and web-series way. It was said that he is planning to make a multi-season franchise of his dream project. Well, now, the latest we read on SpotBoye is that Aamir has shelved his idea of making the film. Flight Trailer: Mohit Chadda’s ‘Missing Empty Aircraft’ Saga Is Set To Give Audiences Goosebumps!

‘Aaj marne ka mood nahi hai’ screams Mohit Chadda’s character from the trailer of Flight to indicate what this film is all about. Touted as the edge of the seat thriller, the film follows the journey of a business tycoon Ranveer Malhotra, who against all the odds, has to face deadly obstacles on a plane to survive. Directed by debutant director Suraj Joshi, the movie is being released by UFO Moviez and Reliance Entertainment.

Talking about how every scene had to be pre-planned with the VFX team, debutant director Suraj Joshi shares, “Since most of Ranveer’s journey takes place in an empty aircraft gone missing, we had to make sure the sequences were pre-planned along with our VFX team so that we don’t miss a mark. Our entire team has worked hard day and night to bring this never seen before expedition in Indian cinema to the big screens. I hope the audience shares their love and support for the trailer as they have done to the motion poster.”

Elaborating on the same actor Mohit Chadda shares, “It’s really exciting to get the kind of response we are getting. Our idea was always to make a film that was unique, something that the audience had never experienced before. But it had to be a film that is worthy of the ‘Big Screen’ experience and at the same time, a story that would entertain audiences. We are sincerely hoping the trailer piques the intrigue of the audience, enough for them to come to theatres to watch the movie.”
